09/11/2010 - Case study - University of Canberra The University of Canberra has succesfully migrated 800 desktops to Windows 7 in their LAB environment with DistriBrute. Team leader Kieran Egan, responsible for the migration, offered 4M88 a case study about the migration.
"With image and applications sizes increasing all the time, it’s important to have an efficient distribution system. With DistriBrute I can max out a local hard drive and clicking on the P2P info tab has become addictive. By allowing pre caching of operating system and application data we can prepare our environment out of bands during production use. A reinstall task then is simply localised extraction from one partition to another rather than a longer live reimage that you have with traditional systems. DistriBrute has been a powerful tool that really helps us get things done efficiently."

July 2010 07/01/2010 - DistriBrute Cuts Desktop Deployment Total Cost of Ownership by 74% The greater efficiency of DistriBrute produces up to 90% better value over 3 years in a best case scenario, and between 60% and 80% in an average case. The main reason DistriBrute is able to save organisations significant sums is it that doesn’t require decentralized distribution servers and therefore requires less full time staff to complete tasks. The DistriBrute Total Cost of Ownership is based on industry best practices and calculated over a 3 year period.
